MONDAY’S CUP OF MOTIVATION:
They say that a pessimist sees the negative while an optimist sees the positive. Regardless of where we land on the positive to negative scale, it goes to show that there are different ways of looking at the same thing. With that said, can you imagine how much better our lives would be if we worked at seeing the positive in the same given situation. Nothing would have to change with our circumstances. The only thing that has to change is our perspective. There are times when this may seem impossible but hindsight usually allows us see the positive when before we only saw the negative. Life is too short to go through it without seeing it for all its amazement and beauty. Let’s really make an effort this week to be positive and look for the best in every situation. Let’s choose to make a difference. If you are not feeling optimistic this morning, remember that things could always be worse! Share a smile with someone who is not smiling because they need it. Let’s choose to be grateful no matter what. Have a phenomenal week.
ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER…
A BEAUTIFUL WAY OF LOOKING AT THINGS:
A Father was reading a magazine and his little daughter every now and then distracted him. To keep her busy, he tore one page on which was printed the map of the world. He tore it into pieces and asked… her to go to her room and put them together to make the map again.
He was sure she would take the whole day to get it done. But the little one came back within minutes with perfect map……When he asked how she could do it so quickly, she said, “Oh…. Dad, there is a man’s face on the other side of the paper….. I made the face perfect to get the map right.” She ran outside to play leaving the father surprised.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
There is always the other side to whatever you experience in this world. Whenever we come across a challenge or a puzzling situation, look at the other side…. You will be surprised to see an easy way to tackle the problem.
Life is short, energy limited, with this limited energy we have to find the unlimited; with this short life we have to find the eternal. Don’t waste it with unimportant matters.
EXTRA ENCOURAGEMENT…
Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge – they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.

WORDS TO LIVE BY…
Life is a matter of perspective. No matter what the weather, no matter what the situation we are in, if we have the right perspective in life, life will always be beautiful!

If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on.
