MONDAY’S CUP OF MOTIVATION:
Summer is coming early this year. Like the weather, things are heating up and we need to prepare ourselves. Do you remember when we were kids and we got 13 weeks off from school for summer vacation? We looked forward to having the time off to have fun and hopefully taking a trip somewhere. We came back to school with some great stories. Those days are long gone for us. We now see summer as the busy season. When we get busy, we get sidetracked and our lives get out of balance. Let’s make a conscious effort to stay focused and prioritize what needs to get done first. Let’s remind ourselves that family always comes first. They were here before we had a career and they will be there once we are done with our careers. By building our lives around the cornerstone of family first, we will be able to build something strong and lasting. Our family is always with us when times are slow and when they are heating up like it is now. We cannot be successful in life if we are not balanced. Everyone will pull at us and we need to prioritize what direction we allow ourselves to go. We all know what we need to do. We all have that inner voice that reminds us when we are too far out of balance. Let’s remember to slow down when things get hectic and breathe. This is an amazing time of year. We get more hours of sunlight and ideal weather to go out there and make it happen. Let’s take advantage of these factors and have the best summer ever. Let’s enjoy these days with our family and let’s keep it simple. In the immortal words of Scott Blum, “Work Hard Play Hard.” This week, let’s remember what summer used to be. The time when we had fun and took vacations. Throw in our best efforts at work and we are on our way. Have a phenomenal week!!
ENCOURAGEMENT…
You cannot stay on the summit forever;
you’ve to come down again.
So why bother in the first place?
Because what is below does not know what is above, but what is above knows what is below.
One climbs, one sees.
One descends, one sees no longer,
but one has seen.
There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by what one saw higher up.
When one can no longer see,
One can at least still know.
- Mt. Analogue
GREAT WORDS TO LIVE BY…
If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. Don’t complain.
Maya Angelou
All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.
Charles M. Schulz
The secret of genius is to carry the spirit of the child into old age, which means never losing your enthusiasm.
Aldous Huxley
It is not what we get. But who we become, what we contribute, that gives meaning to our lives.
Anthony Robbins
When “I” is replaced by “We,” even “Illness” becomes “Wellness.”

You’re going to come across people in your life who will say all the right words at all the right times. But in the end, it’s always their actions you should judge them by. It’s actions, not words, that matter.
Nicholas Sparks
Success isn’t magic or hocus-pocus—it’s simply learning how to focus.
Jack Canfield
