MONDAY’S CUP OF MOTIVATION:
Life builds memories. As we age, we continue to add them. It’s great to look back fondly at our past. What stops our progress is when we look back and dwell on the past. The good in our past is called memories and the bad in our past is called lessons. Let’s learn from our past and embrace the fact that we are where we are right now because of it. The past is the past and it belongs there. We need to keep moving forward. Let’s eliminate the “What if’s” from our thoughts of the past and substitute them with “what’s next” for our future. We will never have enough in our lives today if we dwell on wanting more from our past. The past has nothing more to give us. It already gave us memories and lessons. We will miss all the amazing things life still has to offer if we are looking behind instead of focusing on looking forward. Let’s focus more on appreciating what we already have. This abundance mentality will allow us to keep moving forward. We need to appreciate and embrace the here and now because it’s only here now. If we remember that today is the youngest we will ever be, we can start building and moving forward. What better place to start than now. This week, let’s change our attitude to an attitude of gratitude. Let’s embrace who and where we are today and let’s keep moving forward. Have a phenomenal week!!
ENCOURAGEMENT…
I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life. I’ve learned that making a “living” is not the same thing as making a “life.” I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back. I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one. I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn. I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
