MONDAY’S CUP OF MOTIVATION
Life truly is amazing. We are free to make choices in our lives. We make many amazing choices but sometimes we regret the choices we made. Every one of us has regrets. We regret things we said and we regret things we did. We also regret things we did not say or things we did not do. The quicker we can accept these regrets as lessons, the quicker we can open our eyes to all the amazing things life still has to offer. We have an entire life ahead of us still. Let’s not bring regret along for the ride. He is no use to us anymore. The things that we regret today will be forgotten in the years to come so drop them off now. We need to focus on what is positive in our life right now and what we want to attract into our lives tomorrow. Let’s remember that the past is the past. There are three key words to our outlook on life. They are positive, positive, positive. How can we possibly have a bad outlook on life when we always look for the positive in every situation. It is tough to always be positive but let’s try to err on the side of positive. If we are in a car accident, it could have been worse so can be thankful that we are safe. No matter what happens in our lives, we have to keep moving forward and we need to always look on the bright side of life. These weekly messages may sound repetitive but we need to constantly remind ourselves that our attitude is everything. Zig Ziglar stated that “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing, that’s why we recommend it daily.” The bottom line is life happens to us and it can be great one minute and brutal the next. Without these tough times, we would not appreciate the good times. We need to be grateful that we are here to experience these times. Some of the people we have loved would give anything to still be here and their attitude would be an attitude of gratitude. When it all comes down to it, there are people who have less than us who love life and people with more than us who hate life. It’s all about our attitude. Look around and see how blessed we really are. There are people counting on us so let’s do our best. Let’s love the life we live. It’s that simple. Have a phenomenal week.
ENCOURAGEMENT…
High standards
Set your standards high, and life will arrange itself to meet those standards. Go forward with the best of expectations, and those expectations will be reflected back to you in the world you experience.
When you compromise your most deeply held values, there’s nothing you can gain that will be worth what you have given up. Stay true to who you are, and the progress you make will have real meaning.
Keep your standards high, and you won’t be burdened with regrets. Choose the path that you know to be right, for yourself, for those around you, for your world, and even when the difficulties come you’ll find the strength to keep going.
Hold yourself to the highest standards in every situation, with no resentment or self-pity for choosing to do so. For you are creating real value that cannot be taken away.
Keep your standards high, and when you see an opportunity to do so, raise them even higher. What were once peaks will soon become valleys, and what was once unimaginable will become real.
With the highest of standards, move confidently and lovingly through each day. Set a powerfully positive tone for your world, and it will be a beautiful place to live.
— Ralph Marston
LESSON IN LIFE…
A wise man sat in the audience and cracked a joke.
Everybody laughed like crazy.
After a moment, he cracked the same joke again.
This time, less people laughed.
He cracked the same joke again and again.
When there is no laughter in the crowd,
He smiled and said:
You can’t laugh at the same joke again and again,
but why do you keep crying over the same thing over and over again?
GREAT WORDS TO LIVE BY…
What you RESIST, PERSISTS. If you take ownership and deal with things that are bothering you, then, in the very process of dealing with them they very often will go away.

I wish, I wish, I wish in vain that we could sit simply in that room again. Ten thousand dollars at the drop of a hat, I’d give it all gladly if our lives could be like that.

No matter how big and bad you are, when a two year old hands you a toy phone, you answer it.

Everyone has these two visions when they hold their child for the first time. The first is your child as an adult saying ‘I want to thank the Nobel Committee for this award.’ The other is ‘You want fries with that?’
