MONDAY’S CUP OF MOTIVATION:
There are two things in this world that are constants. The first constant is change. No matter what is going on in our life, we are bound to see change. It may change for the better or it may change for the worse. Either way, life always changes. Accept it and embrace it. The second constant is family. We will all have our ups and downs with family but they are a constant. Friends will come and go but family is family. We sometimes take it for granted that family will be with us forever. The toughest thing to do is lose a family member so let’s remember this week that family is the most important thing in our life and act accordingly. Our kids grow up so fast and so do our parents. Instead of prioritizing life around work, why not make family a priority. When things get rough and friends are not there for us, we turn to family. Why wait for the tough times to be with them. Celebrate life with family during the good times. If we are fortunate to be around in twenty years, we will not be looking back talking about what we did at work, we will be looking back and talking about family and what we did with them. We will be enjoying the family we have while remembering the ones we have lost. This week, if we can remember one thing, let’s remember that when it’s all said and done, family comes first so let’s enjoy family while you can. Have a phenomenal week.
ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER…
Rose for Mother
A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be delivered to his mother who lived two hundred miles away. As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing. He asked her what was wrong and …she replied, “I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother. But I only have seventy-five cents, and a rose costs two dollars.”
The man smiled and said, “Come on in with me. I’ll buy you a rose.” He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother’s flowers. As they were leaving he offered the girl a ride home. She said, “Yes, please! You can take me to my mother.” She directed him to a cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave.
The man returned to the flower shop, canceled the delivery order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother’s house.
Moral: Life is Short. Spend as much time as you can loving and caring for the people who love you. Enjoy each moment with them before it’s too late. There is nothing more important than family.
