This coming Sunday, we will acknowledge the amazing mothers in our life through Mother’s Day. Some of us are fortunate enough to still have a mom who is alive while others have lost them. The one thing we all have in common is the lessons we learned from these amazing women. Moms are the most unselfish people we will ever meet. They always put the needs of others in front of their own. As someone once said, “A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.” That perfectly sums up a mother’s heart. Many of us are parents and it is important to understand that what we do in our lives is so important to those around us. This goes for all aspects of our lives. Not just parenting. We have the ability to affect so many people in so many positive ways. Our words and our actions are so powerful. We all remember when we were sick and our mom would take care of us. We also remember when we had a bad day and mom worked to make it better. This week, let’s remember the lessons our moms taught us and let’s unselfishly give our time and efforts to those who are in need. Let’s make it a point to be there for others. We all know what needs to be done. As always, there’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. Like our mothers, let’s walk the path. Let’s make those around us feel loved and special. Let’s take the lessons we learned from these amazing role models and let’s make them an absolute part of our everyday lives. Selfless acts of kindness will absolutely make the world a better place. Have a great week and have a phenomenal Mother’s Day!!
ENCOURAGEMENT…
Your Mother Is Your First Friend
Your Mother is always with you. She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street, she’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well, she’s your breath in the air on a cold winter’s day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow, she is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you came from, your first home, and she’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, not space…not even death.
