MONDAY’S CUP OF MOTIVATION: VOL 398
As we look back on 2018, we realize how many lessons we have learned. One of the most important lessons is who we spend our time with has a profound influence on our life. The people we associate with will not shove us in a certain direction, but they will nudge us ever so slightly over time. We become the combined average of the five people we spend our time with. Who we spend our time with determines the conversations that dominate our attention, the observations we make and the attitudes and opinions we are being introduced to. Eventually, we start to eat what they eat, talk like they talk, read what they read and think what they think. Since who we spend time with has such a huge impact on our success, let’s find people better than us. Let’s find people who have been where we want to go. Who have accomplished what we dream to achieve. Whatever area of life we want to improve on, find people who represents the success we want, the relationships we want, the lifestyle we want to accomplish and let’s spend more time with them. As Jim Rohn used to say, “Don’t join an easy crowd; you won’t grow. Go where the expectations and the demands to perform are high.” When we push ourselves to grow, we change. It’s now December and it’s the perfect time to keep moving forward!!
