MONDAY’S CUP OF MOTIVATION:
When we were kids, we could not wait to grow up because our parents made so many decisions for us. We longed for the day when we could make our own decisions. That day came long ago. Are we truly in charge of our lives? Who is making the decisions now? Things change as we get older. Instead of blaming our parents for not allowing us to be who we wanted to be, we blame our co-workers, society, the weather, our spouse or the economy for our lack of happiness. If only things were different….Same excuse, different people. As long as we believe that others make decisions for us, we will never be able to look at the world with an anything is possible attitude. Why allow ourselves to believe that the path we are on today will be the path we are on tomorrow? It’s easy to just accept the path we are on and decide that the glass will never be more than half full because someone else is pouring. Regardless of whether we view the glass as half empty or half full, there is always room to add more once we decide who is in charge of the pouring. Waiting to take charge just gives us less time to enjoy a full glass. Don’t wait until it’s too late to start living the life we want. We need to start while we have enough time to truly enjoy the rest of our life. The one thing that will always holds us back is us. Imagine what our lives will be like once we take ownership of them. If there is something we truly want, nobody is going to give it to us. We need to let go of the conditioning where we rely on or blame others for the opportunities that may or may not present themselves. How about we choose to make something happen this week. Take a chance. The life we want is out there but it does not make house calls so we can’t sit and wait for it to come knocking. It’s up to us to go and get it. Life is not just about choices. It’s about who makes them. If we want something more in our lives, we need to take ownership and not let an opportunity pass us by. This week, let’s choose to become the decision maker in our lives. Have a phenomenal week.
ENCOURAGEMENT…
A grandfather clock chimes its beautiful chime on the hour, and then again every fifteen minutes to remind the listener that time is moving forward. To some people, this will be nothing more than a melodious sound. To other people, it will be a reminder that time is passing them by. In reality, time is passing us by. If we don’t take our dreams into our own hands and steer ourselves toward the future we want, then time will leave us behind. Everything I want is attainable. I have to remember that the clock is ticking. Don’t let life happiness or an amazing opportunity leave you behind. The moral of this story is don’t settle because it’s now or possibly never because there’s nothing worse than living with regrets….
GREAT WORDS TO LIVE BY…

Everybody’s got a past. The past does not equal the future unless you live there.

There is a basic law that like attracts like. Negative thinking definitely attracts negative results. Conversely, if a person habitually thinks optimistically and hopefully, their positive thinking sets in motion creative forces — and success instead of eluding them flows toward them.
Norman Vincent Peale
Don’t go through life, grow through life.
