MONDAY’S CUP OF MOTIVATION
Thursday is Christmas. It will be a hectic week as we try to get a week’s worth of work rolled into three days. Throw in last minute shopping and the meal to prepare coupled with all the traveling. That is how we now view this week. Let’s shift our vision back to the time when we were kids. We are counting down the days until Christmas. It truly was the most wonderful time of the year. We saw presents under the tree. We were going to see relatives who we only occasionally see. It truly was a magical time. Let’s allow ourselves to live this week through the eyes of children again. Let’s get excited because our children or our grandchildren are excited. There is nothing better than when a child says “I love Christmas.” It reminds us of when we used to say that. Let’s not allow all the external factors to take away what Christmas means to us and has always meant to us. Christmas hasn’t changed, we have. Embrace family and hold on tight to family traditions. Some of the corniest traditions will be missed when the people we shared them with are gone. Christmas is a little different for each of us but it holds an amazing place in our hearts if we let it. This week, let’s allow Christmas to fill our hearts with joy, love and peace. There is a reason why the movie It’s a Wonderful Life still resonates today. It’s serves as a timeless reminder about what truly matters in life. It’s not the gifts we receive under the tree that matter. It’s not what we do or who much we make that matters. It’s how much we touch the lives of our family and friends. It’s how we appreciate the little things in life…As Clarence the Angel reminded us: “Remember George, no man is a failure who has friends.” Give the gift of love and happiness this season. Have a phenomenal week and have a very merry Christmas because it truly is a wonderful life!!!
ENCOURAGEMENT…
Holiday Wishes
We wish for you a holiday
That’s better than your dreams,
Filled with peace, good will and hope
And firelight that gleams,
Overflowing with holiday spirit
Good food and holiday laughter;
And when it’s done, We hope that you
Live happily ever after!
GREAT WORDS TO LIVE BY…
May peace and plenty be the first to lift the latch on your door, and happiness be guided to your home by the candle of Christmas.
Irish proverb
I think as you grow older your Christmas list gets smaller and the things you really want for the holidays can’t be bought.

Maybe Christmas, he thought… doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps… means a little bit more!
Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch who stole Christmas
A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms..

We all have two lives. The second one starts when we realize we only have one.
Tom Hiddleston
If you have a family that loves you, a few good friends, food on your table and a roof over your head. You are richer than you think.
